here is a bahama flush-mount ceiling fan in antique brass from 2/1990. this has to be one of my most powerful huggers. found it for 15 dollars at goodwill. the fan just had the pull switch replaced and it appears ive reversed the wires so it runs the speeds backwards. but it can stay like that so it will. thanks for watching!

My fan works when I turn the room switch on but the light on the fan does not work. I toggle the chain on and off and still wont turn on. What could possibly be wrong with it? I just moved in this new house so I assume it was working before.

This is one of the earliest 5-bladed GE-vent ceiling fans. It was manufactured circa 1985 by Palm-Air and has a ball/socket canopy. Note: the blades you see on it are not the originals as they were faulty when I first installed the fan. However they had the same type of cane you see on these blades albeit oak. I got this ceiling fan from my church as I replaced it with a white/polished brass 52″ GE-Vent builder fan by Halsey manufactured in 1998. This Palm-Air does have a SLIGHT wobble to it, but better with the Moss Heirloom blades on it. Speaking of which I think Palm-Air (Air Cool) manufactured this model to compete with the Moss Heirloom series. Palm-Air ceiling fans go extremely FAST on high!

I have a "1/2 bath" (just a toilet and sink) that I would like to vent/install a bathroom fan. The floor plan has an adjacent full bathroom with an exterior vent to the ceiling. My question is do I need to run separate duct work and vent or can I connect the new vent to the existing duct work to the roof?

I have a pretty small room but my walls are painted a pretty dark color. I want to add some more light so I was thinking of putting a ceiling light in too. I feel that might look kind of awkward since it’s kind of close to the fan. Any suggestions or comments on what I should do?
By the way my ceiling fan already has a light.
